Brookside Beginner Swing Dance Lessons

February 18 – March 24, 2020,  7:30 pm-9:00 pm
$72 per person

Here’s your chance to learn a new skill, exercise and have fun right in your own backyard! Veteran swing instructors Royce and Jody White will start at the very beginning – no prior experience is necessary – and teach you steps that will get you dancing right away! Each week we will focus on steps that you can immediately use and add to your repertoire.

Swing dance a great way to get or stay in shape (I lost 35 pounds!). Not only is it good exercise, but studies have shown dancing and learning new steps is good for your brain health, as well. And why not have FUN while you exercise and learn a new social skill?

You don’t need to bring a partner, although it is fun to bring someone – we rotate partners during the lesson many times including the instructors so we can work with everyone. Each class will consist of a one-hour lesson followed by 30 minutes of practice to music. The session runs for six weeks and the total cost is $72 per person. Pre-registration and payment is required; class size is limited and closes when full. No Drop-ins allowed – you must be registered for the entire 6-week session. Register below.

ABOUT US

Royce & Jody have been teaching swing dance—specifically the Lindyhop—since 1997 and have taught thousands of students. Some of our students have gone on to win major dance competitions at the state, national, and world levels. Royce has also served as a dance judge and a workshop instructor during competitions. We think this dance is too much fun and love to pass that joy along to others.
